About This Game Disney's Treasure Planet: Battle at Procyon is a 3D RTS game focusing on space combat. In the main campaign's story-driven missions, you begin play as Jim Hawkins, a cadet in the Royal Navy's fight against pirates and the deadly Procyon Fleet, with an eye toward eventual promotion to fleet commander. Skirmish and multiplayer modes allow the choice of playing as all three factions. Successfully completed missions result in ship and fleet enhancements, more experienced crews, and upgraded weapons. Royal Navy Fleet weapons are only slightly inferior to the reworked weapons of the Procyon Fleet but are sturdier and less vulnerable. Ships for the Royal Navy range from torpedo boats and war sloops to escorts, frigates, and the impressive StarHammer, while pirates man sloops, gunboats, schooners, assault cutters, and more, including several unique designs like the carrack and barque. The Procyon Fleet is built for speed and maneuverability, geared for fast hit-and-run attacks, and as the game progresses, news of a mysterious Ironclad Fleet surfaces as well. Ship designs in Battle at Procyon are fashioned after the seafaring ships from the golden age of sail, with solar winds filling the sails and rigging. Arsenals reflect futuristic models of light, medium, and heavy weapons such as laserball and plasma cannons, beam weapons, Gatling guns, harpoons, fire and net launchers, gravity waves, torpedoes, mortars, and more. Other features include multiple waypoint settings, star maps, panic fire, secondary ship control, docking, repairing, towing, grappling, and boarding actions. 1075eedd30 Title: Disney's Treasure Planet: Battle of ProcyonGenre: Action, Adventure, StrategyDeveloper:Barking Dog StudiosPublisher:Disney InteractiveRelease Date: 31 Oct, 2002 Disney's Treasure Planet: Battle Of Procyon Download For Pc Highly Compressed disney's treasure planet battle of procyon. disney's treasure planet battle at procyon You like Space with Pirates? You like Flying air/star ships based off of the old sail boats of our time?Enjoyed the movie Treasure Planet? Then this game is worth playing; Contiuing on from where the original treasure planet left off. Jim becoming an officer of the Royal Navy as the game expands a little more on their world from the lore behind who made the map ball and treasure planet to some of the factions aside from the Royal Navy and Pirates. The game is easy to pick up and play for any age to try and give a shot.SOME of the problems you'll have, if your playing this on a new machine; There is no starry backdrop to represent the ethereal ocean. I own the origional CD and played this game when it first released and I know it was in there. Also, Disney's Online multiplayer support is long gone; thus if you want to play multiplayer, you'll need to run LAN games and start tunneling LAN; which even the tunneling is more difficult than it sounds, especially with this old game. The choice of Voice Actors to represent the crew from the movie, I will not say were the best picks; nor is some of Jim's Portrait art when issuing commands.Despit all of the problems, it's worth the $10 and worth picking up if you want to go all sapce pirate.. This game is nostalgic for me, it was one of the first strategy video games I had ever played. The mechanics are simple but effective, giving you just enough control over your ships to make the game fun, without the unneeded complexity other strategy games have. Don't get me wrong, complex strategy games can be fun as well. I am a huge fan of XCOM: Enemy Unknown, but sometimes it's fun to just sit back, relax, and play a simple fun game. I definitely recommend this game.. Played this when I was a kid.. The all time classic space combat game. A must have for any fan of ship/spaceship combat.. When I first got this game as a little kid, it would not run on the terrible machine my parents had. Being a little kid, me and my cousin somehow got a kick out of playing games in the park using the manual. When I finally did get the thing running like a year later, it beat all expectations. Visually impressive, a strategy-based game lacking any of the annoyences I find in many other RTS, a style of gameplay that I've not seen anywhere else, immensely satisfying action and, if you screw up, some nail biting moments where you try and make it to a port as just a broken husk of a ship. I must have 100s of hours of this on my physical copy. I've avoided playing more and more over the years as I feared the disc finally kicking in and me never getting to play it again. And now, here it is, on steam! Particularly impressive considering this is a movie tie-in, but with disney they've managed a couple of decent movie tie-in games, but this one has always stood far above the rest. And nothing beats getting a few friends together, all playing as a single torpedo boat, trying to blast each other apart while dodging enemy torpedos.I never say this on steam but...I'd say it's worth full price.. This is a simple yet very enjoyable game. Anyone interest in sailing ship navel battles will thoroughly enjoy this game. All ages (meaning I think kids and adults will like it).
